Tonya Carter

Tonya Lynn Carter, 44, passed away in Cushing, Oklahoma on July 5, 2020.

Tonya was born on March 24, 1976 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Eddie Carter and Sheila Underwood.

She graduated from Strother High School in 1994 and later went on to attend nursing school.

Tonya was a social butterfly who never met a stranger. She loved telling jokes and making people laugh. She also loved to take walks, sing, and work word search puzzles.

Tonya was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bill and Virginia Carter and Leon and Edna Inman.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Taylor Carter and Taryn Carter; her mother, Sheila Underwood; her father, Eddie and stepmom, Gen’e Carter; sister, Christie Cheatwood and her husband, Todd; brothers, Keith Carter and his wife, Rainey, Kevin Carter and his wife, Angie, Michael Carter and his wife, Lindsie, Lance Underwood and his wife, Kristin, and Clayton Underwood and his wife, Mercy. As well as a host of many other family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life service for Tonya will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 10, 2020 at First Assembly of God – Prague, Oklahoma.
