Teresa “Terri” Rose Whisenhunt

Whisenhunt Teresa “Terri” Rose Whisenhunt, 59, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2025 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Terri was born on November 30, 1965 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Sammy and Donna Whisenhunt.

She grew up in Seminole, Oklahoma and was a proud graduate of Varnum School. Her life was filled with love, laughter, and a deep appreciation for the small joys in life. She was passionate about her cats, reading mystery novels, watching murder mystery shows and most of all, spending time with her family and friends.

Terri was preceded in death by her father, Sammy Whisenhunt and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

She is survived by her loving mother, Donna Whisenhunt; her sister, Jody Adams; her devoted children, Kayleigh Whisenhunt and Ryan Whisenhunt and his wife Cat; and her beloved cats, Dixie and Merlin. Terri was also a proud grandmother to her seven grandchildren and wonderful aunt as well to her three nephews Aaron, Dillon, and Ashton. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Terri’s warmth, humor, and caring nature left an indelible mark on everyone she met. She was a loyal and dedicated friend and mother; an amazing woman who treasured her time with loved ones.

Graveside services, under the direction of Brown’s Family Funeral Home, will be held at Little Cemetery on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 2:00 p.m.
