Tamara Eller
Tamara “Tammy” Eller, a lifelong pillar of the Seminole community, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026, at the age of 69.
A Life Rooted in Community Born on June 13, 1956, in Seminole, Oklahoma, Tammy was the daughter of Thurman Smith and Betty Jo Smith (Owen). She was a proud product of her hometown, graduating from Seminole High School in 1974. She continued her learning at East Central University, where she earned her degree in 1978.
Tammy was a familiar and trusted face to many in the region. She dedicated 30 years of her professional life to State Farm, where her commitment to helping others and her steady work ethic made her a respected figure aWedg colleagues and clients alike.
Family and Legacy Tammy’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by:
• Her children: Karla Crain of Choctaw, OK; and Trace Eller of Shawnee, OK.
• Her grandchildren: Bryson Joiner, Gracelyn Joiner, Sammie Eller, and Maddie Ellerall of whom she adored.
• Her brother: Randy Strayhorn of Shawnee, OK.
Tammy now joins those who passed before her, including her parents, Thurman and Betty Jo, and her brother, Gary Strayhorn.
Final Wishes In accordance with Tammy’s wishes and those of her family, no services will be held at this time. Her legacy will live on in the stories shared by those who knew her and the quiet impact she left on the community she called home for nearly seven decades.
