Stephen Francis Therrien, a resident of Seminole, OK went to be with the Lord on July 6, 2020 at the age of 67.

Steve was born Aug 16, 1952 in North Adams, MA. He was raised in Worcester, MA and graduated from North High School in 1970.

Steve entered the U.S. Navy and served honorably for five years as a hospital corpsman. While serving in Charleston, SC he met and fell in love with his best friend, Dottie.

They were married December 22, 1972. In 47 years of marriage they raised three wonderful children Arilie, Stephen and Carl.

In 2000 they relocated to Oklahoma to be with Arilie after their two youngest children Stephen and Carl joined the military.

Before Steve fell ill with Multiple Sclerosis, he was an avid runner. He completed the Boston Marathon three times in his running career.

He was also very active in martial arts. If you knew Steve, you knew his love for the Catholic faith and he was a very devout Christian. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Mary (Hanley) Therrien of Worcester, MA.

Steve is survived by his loving wife, Dottie of Seminole, OK; his daughter, Arilie England and husband Michael of Wewoka, OK, two sons, Stephen Therrien and wife Brandi of Shawnee, OK and Carl Therrien and wife Katie of Seminole, OK.

He cherished his five grandchildren Cody, Andrew, Jacob, Aiden and Jaslynn.

A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, July 10, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Seminole with Father Joseph P. Schwarz officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations be made in his honor to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation at: msfocus.org
