Seminole resident Skyler Paul Whitehead, 33, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2026, in Seminole.

Skyler, the son of Gerretta (Suggs) Whitehead, was born September 12, 1992, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He grew up in the Seminole and Wewoka areas and attended school in both communities. After attending Job Corps in Guthrie, Skyler moved to Treasure Island in San Francisco, California, where he furthered his education as a chef.

Upon completing his training, Skyler began working at the Hard Rock Café in San Antonio, Texas. During the COVID19 pandemic, he returned to Seminole to care for his mother. He later worked at Sigma Processed Meats in Seminole.

Skyler was a passionate gamer and a talented chef. He had a heart as big as his personality, showing deep love and loyalty to his friends and his animals. Known for his warm spirit, he gave the best hugs and had a truly loving soul. Skyler was also known for his laid-back style—rarely wearing shoes and often dressed in shorts and a T-shirt, even in the coldest weather.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Erik
