Shirley Williams, Seminole resident, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021, in Midwest City, at the age of 77. Shirley was born on October 14, 1943, in Seminole, OK, to Woodrow and Geraldine (Humby) Island. She worked as a cook for Seminole Public Schools. After retirement she began substitute teaching for the school.

Shirley was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Seminole, OK. She had many friends and loved being on the go. Shirley was loved by many and will be remembered as a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend.

Shirley is survived by daughter, Michelle Island of Seminole, OK; two sons, Kenny Patillo, of Seminole, OK and Richard Patillo, of Phoenix, AZ; two brothers, Junior Island of Midwest City, OK and Steven Island of Seminole, OK; five grandchildren, Jaleesa Island, Terri Akins, Shonporia Patillo, Keerry Patillo-Crawford and Shuniece Patillo-Crawford; ten great grandchildren and many other family and friends.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; son, Anthony Williams and sister, Verna Hearn.

Honorary casket bearers will be Kenny Patillo, Richard Patillo, Harland Hearn, Eldon Hearn, Robby Hearn and Wendell Hearn.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Gilbert Reece and Rev. Bobby Curry officiating. Cremation arrangements will follow. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
