Shirley Sexton

Sexton Shirley Ann (Jamison) Sexton, age 87 and a longtime resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away from this life on April 25, 2025 at Mercy N. Memorial Hospital in Oklahoma City.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 2, 2025 at Vamoosa Baptist Church under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. Pastor Bruce Sanders will officiate, and burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, J.T. Sexton of the home; one son, Tommy Sexton and wife, Ramona of Konawa; two daughters, Darlene Foster and husband, Matthew of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Sharlene Genee and husband, David of Tecumseh, Michigan; two sisters, Alma Holland of Choctaw, Oklahoma, and Holly Harrison of Duncan, Oklahoma; one sister-inlaw, Joan Jamison of Midwest City, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Sherre Vincent; one son-in-law, Eric Vincent; one brother, Stan Jamison, one sister, Jean Hunter; one brother-in-law, John Holland; and one grandson, Matthew Genee.
