Shirley Sandfur

Seminole resident Shirley Renee’ Sandfur died Friday, August 12, 2022, in Tecumseh.

Shirley, the daughter of Albert and Stella Mae (Addington) Peoples, was born September 29, 1966 in Guymon. Shirley attended school in Konawa. On June 6, 1990, Shirley married Frank Sandfur in Earlsboro, she and Frank divorced, but remained friends. Shirley was very artistic; she enjoyed drawing, coloring, doing puzzles, gardening and reading. Shirley was a faithful and active attendee of Coney Island Tabernacle, Covenant Worship Center and Faith Connection Church, where she was always helpful and involved with the children’s ministries.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother, Tony Peoples.

Shirley is survived by her son, Brandon Sandfur, of Terral, Oklahoma; daughters, Tiffany Sandfur of Ardmore and Teather Peoples of Seminole; grandchildren, Braden Sandfur, Bentley Sandfur, Kaylie Sandfur, Selena Mixon, Jayden McKee, and Katherine Burrows; brothers, Sterling Peoples, Mickey Peoples, and Mike Peoples; and many other family and friends.

Shirley’s family will be available for visitation, Wednesday, August 17, from 5:00 P.M. to 6:45 P.M.

Services will be Thursday, August 18, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, with Bernice and John Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
