Maud resident Sharon Kay Stewart passed at Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at her home, at the age of 68.

Sharon, the daughter of Buddy and Betty (Walker) Haws, was born June 28, 1953 in Seminole. She graduated from Maud High School with the class of 1971. On April 22, 1995, she married Donald Stewart in Shawnee. Sharon was a nutritionist; she worked at the Maud Nursing Home for over 20 years, before going to the Seminole Hospital where she concluded her career. Sharon loved to cook; she also loved the outdoors, particularly fishing. She enjoyed playing games; among her favorites were Rummy and Yahtzee. Nothing was more special to Sharon, however, than spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald Stewart; and a brother, James Haws.

Sharon is survived by her sons, Jackie Gamble and Billie, of Seminole and Kevin Stewart of Harrah; daughter, LaChrisa Gamble and Brent Ince, of Seminole; grandchildren, Brooke Gamble, Jaycee Gamble, Maddy Hotulke, Jordan Hotulke, Lexus Stewart, and Toni Stewart; sisters, Gloria Stalnaker and Grady of Maud, Gayla Cotterman and Jon, of Maud, and Debbie Blackwell of Maud; special friends, David and Brenda Whitley, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services will be Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 10:00 A.M at Swearingen Funeral Chapel, with Butch Bradley officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Swearing Funeral Home in Seminole.
