Scenora Mae Tiger, longtime Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed away December 29, 2019 at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 68. She was born December 7, 1951 to parents George Tiger and Nessie (Harjo) Tiger in Talihena, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma. She was a graduate of Seminole High School.
Scenora is survived by her son; Robert Colbert III of Seminole, Oklahoma, her daughter; Rosina Tiger of Shawnee, Oklahoma, sisters; Nancy Harjo and Leafa Tiger, both of Seminole, Oklahoma, five grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Nessie Tiger and other relatives; Beatrice Pulliam, Agnus Pulliam, Anderson Tiger, Edmond Tiger, Ishmael Tiger, Webster Tiger, Clara Tiger, Flora Daniels, Jacob Osborn and Leroy “Rusty” Davis.
A wake service will be at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at God’s Assembly, 720 N. University, Seminole, Oklahoma. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2020, at Swearingen Funeral Home chapel in Seminole with Paul Fixico and Eric Thlocco officiating.
