Sammie “Darline” (Castoe) Jones, passed away at the age of 76 on February 1, 2022, at her home in Canadian, Oklahoma. She was born May 1, 1945, in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Samuel Oscar Castoe and Gylois “Lois” Margaret (Cordell) Kirk. She graduated from New Lima High School in 1964. She spent most of her childhood and adult life in Seminole, Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas and her last years were spent in Canadian.

Sammie worked for several years at Hayes Axle in Seminole. She also worked as the front desk clerk at the Oxford Inn (now the Executive Inn) in Seminole and the Holiday Inn in Sweetwater, Texas.

Sammie enjoyed sewing, crafts and making flower arrangements. She was an amazing seamstress and never used a pattern for making curtains to formals and wedding dresses. She deeply loved her grandchildren and her great-granddaughter.

Those left to cherish Sammie’s memory are her son; Toby Wilson of Stillwater, Oklahoma, her daughter; Tina Wilson Joy of Norman, Oklahoma, her sisters; Eva Flo Hill of Cana dian, Oklahoma and Ruby Raper of Maud, Oklahoma, grandchildren; Terry Wayne McCracken of Seminole, Oklahoma, Eva Samatha (Loftis) Rice of Noble, Oklahoma and Ashleigh Joy of Norman, Oklahoma and great-granddaughter; McKenzie McCracken and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., February 11, 2022, at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
