Ruth Elizabeth Louie went missing February 4, 2021. After a long and prayerful search she was found on March 25, 2021 and will now be laid to rest by her family, friends and community that love her very much. Ruth was born on February 4, 1939, to Moman and Betty Louie in Holdenville, OK.

Ruth was a compassionate and loving woman known for her daily walking routine which included a 14 mile round trip to Wewoka and back home to Lima. Those that knew her, knew she always had a smile and didn’t ask anyone for anything. She was like a rose with her beautiful smile. Ruth will be missed by all who knew her or came in contact with her. Rest in Heaven Dear Miss Ruthie. We love you. One of her favorite songs was Going up Yonder.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Dorthea Gordon; grandparents, John Louie and Cora Louie; brothers, Moman Louie Jr., Sam Edwards, Joseph Louie, Toris Louie; sisters, Maxine Crawford, Almeda Gould and grandson, Jason Shannon.

Ruth leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Eliza Jane (Velva) Louie; sons, Charles Louie, Shawn Louie; grandchildren, Tiffany Louie, Derrick Louie, Jamaal Griffis, Anthony Louie, Marvin Battle, Emily Louie, Jasmine Louie, Cody Louie; her great grandchildren; sisters, Cora Lee and husband, Alvin, Patricia Morris, Betty Thomas, Mary Metcalf and husband, Mike and Kay Daniels; brothers, Toney Lacey, Oscar Edwards and many other family and friends.

Those serving as casket bearers are Toris Louie Jr., Xavier Louie, Brandon Louie, CJ Jackson, Sherwood Jackson Jr., Winston Jackson, Terrance Jackson and Willie Mathis.

Those serving as honorary casket bearers are Eddie Louie, Sr., Toris Keith Louie, Toris Louie Sr., Myron Louie, Ryan Louie and Sherwood Jackson Sr.

Ushers will be Todd Goss and Yvette Jackson.

Flower girls will be Brittany Louie-Johnson, Ceciley Louie, Rone Rena Louie, Renissa Jackson, Rone Jackson and Shayna Jackson.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kirk Garfield officiating. Burial will follow at Lima Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
