Long time Sasakwa resident Ruby Mae Spears of Wewoka passed away Saturday, April 4th, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.

Ruby was born April 10th, 1925 in Francis, OK to Clem and Mary Ann Scroggins.

She attended Cully and Sasakwa Schools.

She married Otto Spears January 22 ,1942 in Sasakwa and worked as a Beautician for many years. Ruby enjoyed sewing, watching the OKC Thunder and working.

She was the best cook and made better Dumplings than anyone around, her pecan and coconut pies were the best! Ruby loved spending time with her family and was so proud of her six generations of children and grandchildren.

Ruby is preceded in death by her parents, husband and 8 siblings.

She is survived by her children, Tommy and Thana Spears of Sasakwa and Kathy and Tony Womack of Seminole, grandchildren, Kim Ward and Terrell Watters of Union Valley, Kevin Womack and Tina of Earlsboro, Kelly Rider and Jim of Seminole, Tracey Morris of Sasakwa, Wes Womack and Susan of Seminole and Casey Thomas and Trevor of Union Valley, 15 great grandchildren, dren, 2 and 1 on the way great great-great grandchildren, sister in law, Bernita Horton and husband Bob of Ada and numerous other relatives and friends.

Graveside service are scheduled for 2 pm Wednesday April 8, 2020 in Wewoka under the at Oakwood Cemetery direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home with Pastor Perry Justus officiating.

Pallbearers are Ryan Travis Rider, Kash Womack, A.J. Womack, Thomas, Kaleb Thomas, Kyle Moore, Zack Morris and Stoney Ward.

Due to The COVID-19 Pandemic only 10 people may gather at graveside. Per The State of Oklahoma.
