Ruby Jewel Gammon Morgan, age 97, former Seminole resident arrived at her heavenly home February 28th, 2020.

She was born July 28th, 1922, in Konawa, Oklahoma to Charles E. Gammon and Stella Hampton Gammon.?

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Seminole, a graduate of Konawa High School

She went on to receive her Associates Degree from Seminole Junior College when it was located on the top floor of Seminole High School.

She was employed with Sylvania Corporation in Shawnee for many years before joining First National Bank of Seminole, now known as BancFirst, where she retired after many years of devoted service, not once but twice.?

She adored her family and was an avid fan of everything in which they were involved, whether it was basketball, football, baseball, music, pageants, sorority gatherings, you name it, she was there. She loved bowling and was a member of a league for many years.

When the years made life too difficult to live alone, she moved to Ft. Worth to be near her daughter.?In December 1941, she married the love of her life and high school sweetheart John Douglas Morgan, and they shared 57 years together.

She is survived by their two children, Douglas E. Morgan and his wife Judy, and Paula Elizabeth Morgan Faught. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Andrew Faught, Sean Douglas Morgan, his wife Tara and their children, Wylie, Emma, and Mason and her first great Grandson Dawson, Christian Morgan and the love of his life Rayshell, Matthew Morgan and his wife Elizabeth, their children Anna, Madison, Luke, Jack and Jolie Kate, Jeffrey Morgan and his wife Natalie, and son Parker, and her son by another mother, Charles Carpenter and his wife Betsy, and her devoted daughter-in-love, Jenny Morgan, as well as many nephews, nieces and dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, her parents, her sister, Gladys Carpenter and brother-in-law, Troy (Rip) Carpenter.?

Services are scheduled for Wednesday, 4th of March, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., First United Methodist Church, 910 West Wrangler Blvd., Seminole. Swearingen Funeral Home is in charge of services.
