Ronald Everett Swanson Jr., of Seminole, Oklahoma went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 28, 2021 at Norman Regional Hospital in Norman, Oklahoma.

Ron was born in Elk County, Pennsylvania, to Ronald Everett Swanson Sr. and Gladys Waynette (Stephenson) Swanson.

He grew up in Ridgway, PA and graduated with his classmates that still have a bond to each other. He loved growing up in Ridgway and had lots of good memories.

He then went into the Army and moved to Oklahoma.

Ron loved bow hunting with his friends and loved car racing and traveling with Leonna, his companion.

Ron was retired from Metal Container, OKC where he had many friends.

Ron leaves behind one sister, Betty Jean Geitner and Denny and their three daughters, Deniese Myer, Michele Butler and Kristie Young and their children; one son, Michael Swanson and wife, April and beautiful granddaughter, Sofia; and Leonna, companion of 12 years, of the home and a host of other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Highway Baptist Church at PO Box 1631, Seminole, Oklahoma 74818.

Viewing will be held on Sunday, October 31, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Monday, November 1, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Highway Baptist Church in Seminole, Oklahoma, with Pastor Carl Whitfield officiating.

Burial will be Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma with military honors.
