Ronald Reynolds, 80, of Russellville, died Monday, November 16, 2020, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Russellville.

He was born December 4, 1939, to Raymond and Phyllis Lorine (Cheatwood) Reynolds, in Seminole, OK.

Ron was retired as the Chair of the Art Department of Arkansas Tech University.

He married Donna Morris, on August 27, 1960 at Cushing, OK.

Ron co-juried the 31st Annual Winter Park, Florida Art Festival, received the Fulbright Grant for Advanced Studies at the University of Rome and The National Print Collection Italy; was recipient to the 1983 Art Patron Award; served as the Artist-in-Residence at Big Bend National Park; and, selected as the 1993 Higher Education Art Educator.

Ron was a member of the Arkansas & National Art Education Association, and the Valley Antique Auto Club. He has also written, published and illustrated several books. Ron and Donna loved square dancing and were members of the River Valley Squares.

Ron was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Russellville where he performed as part of the Chancel Choir, and studied God’s Word with the Carden Sunday School Class. Ron was preceded in

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, and grandparents Charles & Haydee Reynolds, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Donna Morris Reynolds; a daughter Patricia & Jerry Turk-Delone of Augsburg; a son, Robert Reynolds of Fayetteville, one grandson, Joe Turk III of Augsburg as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Private Family Memorial Service and burial will be held Friday, November 20, 2020 at Rest Haven Memorial Park under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Tony Griffin will officiate.
