Roly Harjo, 95 year old Shawnee, Oklahoma resident and former Seminole, Oklahoma resident passed from this life Thursday, August 13, 2020 surrounded by his loving family at his home in Shawnee.

He was born September 25, 1924 in Seminole to parents Eliza (Deer) Harjo and Timmie Harjo.

Roly enlisted in the United States Army and later worked for Fred Jones Manufacturing in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma until his retirement.

Roly was a member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma.

Survivors include 5 sons, Howard Sarkechee of the home in Shawnee, Oklahoma; Ronnie Harjo of the Home, Winfred Harjo of the home, Jeffery Harjo of the home and Paul Harjo and of Shawnee, Oklahoma; 3 daughters, Beverly Hill of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Anita Lena of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Sharron Messer of Shawnee, Oklahoma; many grandchildren and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Roly was preceded in death by his parents Eliza and Timmie Harjo, by two wives, by 1 son Ronald Harjo, 1 daughter Laquita Gwendolyn Factor and by 3 brothers Cecil Harjo, Sam Harjo and Clarence Fox. Roly is also preceded in death by 3 sisters Lawanie Larney, Minnie Lindsey, Louisa Dunn and by 1 great grandson.

A wake service is scheduled for Monday, August 17, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Chapel in Seminole.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 1:00, August 18, 2020 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole. Interment will follow at Snake Creek Cemetery located east of Little, Oklahoma.

Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home Seminole, Oklahoma.
