Robert Nolan, Sr.

Robert Edward Nolan, Sr., a resident of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at the age of 62. He was born in Shawnee on December 24, 2960, to Julius Lee Nolan and Wanda Marie (Warlick) Nolan.

Robert worked for Firelake Grocer Store as a truck driver and warehouse manager. Before Firelake, he had worked for Pratt Foods. He loved to work and was a very hardworking man who always provided for his family. He loved fast cars and rock music. He was a Chevy man until about six years ago when he bought a Ford. He was also the proud owner of a 1969 Pontiac Grand Prix. He had numerous friends with whom he shared the same hobbies, and he enjoyed a good cold beer and hanging out with his family and friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one nephew.

Robert is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Nolan of Tecumseh and Jamie Armstrong and husband, Dylan, of Shawnee; one son, Robert Nolan, Jr. of Shawnee; one granddaughter, Mia Nolan; four grandsons: Jayden Dibler, Samuel Lucero, Kal-el Hanthorn and Landon Armstrong; three nieces and one nephew; many other family members and a host of friends.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, May 12, 2023, at the Fairview Cemetery, Shawnee, Oklahoma, 1400 N. Center Ave., Shawnee, OK 74801.
