Robert Louis Douthit, Sr., Seminole resident, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021, in Norman, Oklahoma. Robert was born on September 6, 1941, in Wolf, OK, to Truman and Leta Mae (Dodd) Douthit. He worked as a field supervisor for American Energy.

Robert married Karan Douthit on June 7, 1974, in Seminole, OK. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and motorcycle trips. Robert especially loved spending time with family and watching his grandkids participate in their athletic events.

Robert is survived by two sons and their spouses, Scott and Misty Douthit of Shawnee and Bobby and Kara Douthit of Seminole; daughter and her spouse, Deana and Charles Byrd of Seminole, OK; sister, Iva Armstrong of Checotah, OK; six grandchildren, Tyler Douthit, Jaxon Douthit, Madalyn Douthit, Jakob Douthit, Austen Byrd and Makynzee Byrd; and numerous other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, J. L. Douthit, Dale Douthit and Kenneth Douthit and his wife, Karan Douthit.

Those serving as casket bearers are Gary Douthit, Clay Armstrong, Bobby Armstrong, Tyler Douthit, Jaxon Douthit and Trevor McGirt.

Honorary casket bearers are Jakob Douthit, Austen Byrd, Keith Douthit and Charles Byrd.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at 10:00 AM, at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, OK with Pastor David Karges officiating. Burial will follow at Wolf Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
