Seminole resident Rickey Ray Hart passed away Friday, February 24, 2023 in Shawnee, at the age of 66.

Rickey, the son of Ray and Oneta (Downey) Hart, was born October 29, 1956, in Snyder, Texas. Rickey was a life long resident of Seminole, Oklahoma. He worked in the oil field, working many years for Mills Well Service. On September 9, 1977, Rickey married Joyce Loudermilk, in Seminole. Rickey, a member of Lord’s Community Church; loved working on cars, hunting and fishing, camping, attending Downey family reunions, and being ornery, but nothing was more important to Rickey than time spent with family and friends. Much of that time was spent around a campfire at cookouts and no family time was complete without him picking on his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Rickey is survived by his wife, Joyce, of the home; sons and daughters-inlaw, Bill and Rebecca Hart of Seminole and Mike and Shannon Hart of Seminole; 9 grandchildren, Chris and Cameron Earles, Blaine, Leland, Jezzlyn, Ty, Logan, Nova, and Paisley Hart all of Seminole; a great grandson, Ethan Earles, of Seminole; a brother, Lee Hart; sisters, Sherry Lozer, Judy Hart, and Julie Sanders; and many other family members and friends.

Casket bearers will be Mike Hart, Billy Hart, Chris Earles, Dwayne Lozer, Jason Walls and Dalwayne Smith. Honorary casket bearers will be Rickey’s nephews.

The family welcomes friends and family to a lunch that will be served at Bowlegs Frist Baptist Church following the burial.

Services will be Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at Swearingen Funeral Chapel in Seminole with Jimmy and Nita Moreland officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery in Seminole. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
