Ralph Black

Ralph Harvey Black, longtime Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed away April 12, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 70.

He was born November 26, 1949 in Oklahoma City to parents Harvey Erwin “Pete” Black and Molly Lucille (Jackson) Black.

Ralph grew up in Midwest City, Oklahoma, playing in the fields where today stands Rose State College.

He married Debbie Litke on May 31, 1984 in Oklahoma City.

He owned and operated M&M Wrecker Service in Midwest City with his dad Pete.

Ralph moved to Seminole in 1989 and operated a cattle ranch and was co-owner of Clausing Farm Center. He retired in May of 2017 and has enjoyed travelling and spending time with his grandkids.

Ralph enjoyed hunting, fishing and fresh vegetables from the garden he planted.

He spent time as a private pilot, visiting Presidential Libraries and being involved with the annual Salvation Army Angel Tree and Spaghetti Dinner.

He was a member of Oklahoma Farm Bureau in Seminole County, Ducks Unlimited, the National Wild Turkey Federation, was a Salvation Army supporter and attended the Church of Christ in Seminole.

Ralph is survived by his wife of almost 36 years, Debbie Black of the home, his son Wayne Brimm and his wife Tori of Edmond, Oklahoma, his daughters; Amanda Ray and her husband Brent of Wetumka, Oklahoma and Trina Lester and her husband Jeff of Pueblo, Colorado and grandchildren; Brian Ray, Jackson Ray, Jordan Lester, Brianna Lester, Nicholas Lester, Isaac Lester, Amelia Lester and Kieli Henderson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Pete and Lucille Black.

Graveside services for Ralph were held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 17, 2020 at Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City, Oklahoma. Arpoika Daniels officiated the service.

Ralph’s service was live streamed on the Swearingen Funeral Home Facebook page and the Church of Christ at Seminole Facebook Page and the videos can be viewed now.

Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
