Phillip Bryan “Spook” Harris, 62, long time resident, died Wednesday, August 15, 2023. He was born on April 25, 1961.

The youngest of 13 children, Spook was born to Floyd and Lillie (Shepherd) Harris of Earlsboro. He graduated from Pleasant Grove in Seminole, became an auto mechanic, welder, and also worked for Seminole Public Schools for several years.

Spook was preceded in death by his parents; wife Ruth May Harris on November 04, 2002; brothers and sisters-inlaw, Grady and Delouris, O.D. and Mary Lou, Winston, Bobby, and Frank Harris; sisters and brotherin- law, Jeanne and Arnold Melton, Winnie Stillwell, and Fran Chambless.

Surviving Spook are granddaughter Kassidy Anne Marie, of the home; grandson Blaine Phillip Lee; daughter and sonin- law Amber Dawn and Matthew James Lee Osswald, and son and daughter- in-law Bryan David and Karrie Harris, all of Seminole; siblings and their spouses Esther and Don Hopkins of Kendrick; Larry and Linda Harris, and Allen and Berta Harris of Seminole; Darrel and Rebecca Harris of Denison; and brothers-in-law Phillip Stillwell of Earlsboro, and Gary Chambless of Harker Heights, Tx.

A graveside “Celebration of Life” and Memorial, to be announced at a later date, will be held at Little Cemetery and officiated by his brother Allen Harris. Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
