Phil as he was known to all departed this life on 31 January 2022 at 6:18 PM while in the SSM Saint Anthony’s Hospital-Shawnee with friends and staff near his side.
Philip was born the 6th of April 1946, in Akron, Summit County, Ohio to Paul Howard Haslett and Mary Kate (Young) Haslett. He attended Schools in Akron; Mason Elementary, Goodrich Junior High School, and East High School graduating in 1964. He then attended Malone College in Canton, Ohio.
In 1965 he enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas.
In 1970 he met and married Sheila Thorn and to this union was born daughter Renee, and sons Edwin, Daniel, and Anton.
Philip is survived by his brother, Mark of Branson, Missouri; his sister, Martha of Englewood, Ohio.
Children: Renee, Edwin, Daniel, Anton, 4 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and many friends and associates.
Viewing for Phil will be from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 8 at Swearingen Funeral Home.
The Funeral will be 9 February 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Seminole Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints; 2500 John Street (corner Hwy 9 and John St). Interment will follow at Little Cemetery in Seminole, Oklahoma.
