Pauline Nowlin

Pauline Nowlin passed away in Ada, Oklahoma on Monday, November 28, 2022, at the age of 87 years.

Pauline was the daughter of Wade & Mollie (Gentry) Gentry, born on August 11, 1935 in Centrahoma, Oklahoma, where she was brought up and attended schools. She was married to George Franklin ‘Frank’ Nowlin Jr in Coalgate, Oklahoma on September 10, 1952, and graduated Centrahoma High School with the Class of 1953. Frank and Pauline lived in Centrahoma for a few years, then moved to the Oklahoma City area. They moved in 1966 to the New Model community west of Holdenville, where they made their home and enjoyed forty-two happy years together before Frank passed away on September 12, 2008, two days after their 56th wedding anniversary.

Pauline worked for sixteen years in the meat market as a meat wrapper for Moore’s IGA in Wewoka. She loved making quilts and gardening. She was a member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church in Holdenville. Most of all, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Wade & Mollie Gentry; her beloved husband of 56 years, Frank Nowlin; daughter Donna Kay Reich; three sisters: Christine, Ilene, and Maxine; four brothers: Kelly, Douglas, Ray, and Roy.

She is survived by three children: Sharlene Bible (Ronnie) of Ada, Darlene

Bingham (Gary) of Holdenville, and David Nowlin (Donna Jean) of Sasakwa; fifteen grandchildren: Chris Landreth, Kevin Landreth, Clint Landreth, Alex Selby, Shannon McDaniel, Davey Nowlin, Jeremy Nowlin, Daniel Nowlin, Jessica Kiker, Corey Blakely, Sarah Blakely, Brooke McDonald, Brenna Reed, Gwen Morris, and Timothy Reich; numerous great grandchildren; two sonsin- law, Jimmy Don Reich and James Landreth; her companion of many years, J. C. Kanard; numerous nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends. She is also survived by numerous great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday, December 3, 2022, 10:30 a.m. at Fisher Funeral Home-Lillye Chapel, and Pauline will be laid to rest at Lone Dove Cemetery with Rev. Earl Scroggins officiating. Pallbearers are Chris Landreth, Kevin Landreth, Clint Landreth, Davey Nowlin, Daniel Nowlin, and Jeremy Nowlin. Honorary pallbearers are James Landreth, Jimmy Reich, and John Gibson. www.fisherfh.net
