Patricia Montgomery Clark

Patricia Montgomery Clark was born in Seminole, Oklahoma on January 31, 1935. She was one of 8 children born to Homer Morris Montgomery and Vera Mae (Mason) Montgomery. There were 3 brothers and 4 sisters. She married Franklin Earl Clark on August 30, 1968 in Amarillo, Texas. They were married for 21 years. Earl passed away on August 22, 1990 after a heart related illness, just eight days be-fore their 22nd wedding anniversary. Patricia graduated from Seminole High School in 1953 and went to work for Pioneer Telephone Company as a switchboard operator. She commuted from Seminole to Oklahoma City until she eventually got an apartment and a roommate and moved to Oklahoma City where she continued working for the phone company that eventually became Southwestern Bell Telephone. She retired from Southwestern Bell on January 28, 1995, serving 40 years as a faithful employee. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Homer Morris Montgomery and Vera Mae (Mason) Montgomery, husband Franklin Earl Clark, brothers Homer Lee Montgomery, Donald Montgomery and infant brother Wilbur Montgomery. Sisters, Mary Jo Arner, Frances Tedford and Lou Ann Tyner. Patricia is survived by her sister, Vera Marie Rammage and grandchildren from her marriage to Earl Clark, Cody and Chelsea Clark She is also survived by the following nieces and nephews: Steve Alan Arner, Saundra Diane (Arner) Hunter, David Eric Arner, Tommy/ Jack Thomas Telford, Jr., Beverly Dawn (Montgomery) Jones, Sheila Gail (Montgomery) Smith, Tracy Lea (Montgomery) Nelson, Bruce Duane Montgomery, Michele (Montgomery) En-dress, Kirk Alan Rammage, and Keith Dane Rammage. She is also survived by a host of great-nephews and great-nieces who grew up knowing her as their “Aunt Tricia.” Patricia was a very active member of her church, Kelham Baptist Church in Oklahoma City until she was no longer able to drive and eventually went to live in assisted living. Patricia went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Thursday May 13, 2021 after living a long and full life. She will be missed. Services will be 2pm Wednesday at Bill Merritt Funeral Service (Bethany) with interment at Maple Grove Cemetery (Seminole).
