Micheal Farris Hopper, Maud resident, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024, in Shawnee, at the age of 57. Micheal was born on August 9, 1966 in Seminole, OK to Charles Farris Hopper and Shirley Ann (Kelley) Hopper. He grew up in Maud and was a 1984 graduate of Maud High School. He also lived many years in Okemah, Okmulgee and Tulsa.

Micheal enjoyed watching his huge collection of movies. He loved spending time with his family, especially his two beloved nieces, Emilee and Allison.

Micheal is survived by his father, Charles Hopper; sister, Christi Riddle and husband, Eddie Jr. of Maud, OK; nieces, Emilee Riddle and Allison Fonseca and many other family and friends.

Micheal was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Farris and Juanita Catherine Hopper; maternal grandparents, Guy Merle Kelley and Veronica Kelley; mother, Shirley Ann Kelley and infant brother, Charles Merle Hopper.

Micheal’s family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the ladies of Sooner Home Health for the many years of excellent care given to Micheal and most recently The Regency Nursing Home in Shawnee for the last several months of care.

Viewing will be Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Maud, OK.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church in Maud, OK with Pastor Butch Bradley officiating. Interment will follow at Cummings Cemetery in Maud, OK. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
