Marolyn Janelle Bryant, Shawnee resident, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022 in Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 76. Marolyn was born on April 25, 1946 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Andrew Charlie Clark and Rosetta (Patterson) Clark. She was raised and grew up in Lindsay, Oklahoma, where she attended and graduated from Lindsay High School in 1964. Marolyn earned her real estate broker license in the late 1970’s and owned and operated Bryant Realty in Seminole and later Shawnee area for over 30 years. Marolyn proudly furthered her education during this time as well, earning a B.S. degree in Counseling at East Central University in 1992.

Marolyn was a gentle and smart woman with many hobbies and interests. She enjoyed arts and crafts including rock painting, designing clay figures and jewelry, painting, traveling with friends, making trivia games for family gatherings and she loved talking on the phone and going out to eat with family and friends. She loved her church and attended Erin Springs Baptist Church throughout her childhood.

Marolyn married Frank Bryant in 1969 at Seminole First Baptist Church and during their 17 year marriage they had 2 children, Kent Bryant and Kellye Elkins. Marolyn will be dearly missed but her friends and family find peace that she will be joyfully reunited with her beloved son.

Marolyn leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Kellye Swearingen Elkins and husband, Richard Elkins of Dougherty, Oklahoma; daughter-in-law, Melissa Bryant of Shawnee, Oklahoma; one sister Donna Wallace and brother- in –law Jimmy Wallace; three brothers, Mike Nordman and sister-in-law Vickie Nordman, Louie Nordman and Kenneth Nordman all of Texas; and her four beautiful grandchildren, Lilly Bryant, Grace Bryant, Jacob Swearingen and Mia Bryant; nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many other family and friends whom she loved very much.

Marolyn was preceded in death by her mother, Rosetta Clark; father, A.C. Clark; brother, Charles Clark and son, Kent Bryant and many aunts and uncles to whom which she was very close.

Viewing will be Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Visitation with family will be Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will

Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay, Oklahoma with Pastor Clay Hicks officiating.

Casket bearers will be Jimmy Wallace, Andy Wallace, Andy Register, Andon Register, Jacob Swearingen and Richard Elkins.

Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
