Seminole resident Lynn Allen Hudson passed away Monday, August 15, 2022 in Shawnee.

Lynn, the son of John Hudson and Leola (Marvel) Melton, was born January 7, 1942 in Oklahoma City. Lynn proudly served in the US National Guard. Lynn spent the majority of his life in law enforcement; over the years he worked for the Department of Corrections, Moore Police Department, and Cleveland County Sheriffs Office, before ultimately retiring from the Wewoka Police Department in 1994. During the course of his life Lynn also worked in heavy equipment and as a pipeline inspector. On May 2, 1980, he married Kathleen Williams, in Howard County, Arkansas. Lynn enjoyed hunting and fishing, raising goats and chickens, training dogs, baling hay, operating heavy equipment, and watching sci-fi and westerns. He was a faithful member of Temple of Praise in Seminole.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Hudson and his mother, Leola Melton.

wife, Kathy, of the home; sons, Gary Hudson of Welty, Jack Kelley of Midwest City, Daryl Hudson of Cromwell, Matt Kelley of Cromwell, and Jason Kelley of Seminole; a daughter, Mary Lynn Janko of Harrah; one brother, Jerry Hudson of Norman; and a sister, Sharon Mays; 17 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

Services will be Thursday, August 18, at 1:00 P.M. at Temple of Praise in Seminole, with Jeff Nance officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
