Lucille Copley, age 78, passed away September 5, 2020 at her daughter’s home in Maud, Oklahoma.

She was born December 26, 1941 in Maud, Oklahoma to parents James Rufus Birdwell and Bessie (Wood) Birdwell.

She grew up in Konawa/ Maud area and moved to Seminole and then on to Anchorage, Alaska.

She married Gene Copley on February 13, 2009 in the VA Chapel in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Sadly, he passed away June 5, 2015.

She worked as a home health aide for numerous different companies.

Lucille is survived by her son; Tommy Ranells of Rileyville, Virginia and daughters; Shelia McCracken of Maud, Oklahoma and Cindy Jarvis Konawa, Oklahoma, step-children; William Copley of Texas, Jason Copley of New Mexico, Jarrod Copley of Texas, Melinda Christiansen of Utah and Jessica James of New Mexico, 7 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Fred Ranells, brothers Roy George Birdwell and Thomas Franklyn Birdwell.

Funeral services for Lucille will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 11, 2020 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Bobby Shatto officiating. Burial will follow at Cummings Cemetery in Maud, Oklahoma.

Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
