Louie “Lou” Leon Freeman, a long time Sasakwa resident, passed a w a y Thursday July 23, 2020 at Heritage Village Nursing Home in Holdenville at the age of 87.

Lou was born March 22, 1933 in Sasakwa, Oklahoma to Charles Napoleon Freeman and Freda Victoria (Cathey) Freeman.

He graduated from Sasakwa public school.

Lou served in the US Army during the Korean War.

Lou was a oilfield engineer and was self employed in the oilfield industry.

Lou was preceded in death by his parents and brother Russell Freeman.

He is survived by brothers; Jimmie Freeman of Sasakwa, Johnny Freeman of Sasakwa, Benny Freeman of Jonesboro, AR, sister Lucille Gravlee of Enid, OK.

Funeral service will be 2:00pm Monday July 27, 2020 at Harvest Time Church with Pastor Gail Beck officiating with Johnny Massad, Pastor Jimmie Freeman and Aaron Finney assisting.

Interment will follow at Holdenville Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
