Lona Jane “Crickett” (Hardin) Herron passed away at the age of 63 on November 11, 2021, at her home in Seminole, Oklahoma.

She was born on February 16, 1958, in St. Louis, Missouri to Harvey Hardin and Mae (Gordon) Harvey.

She lived in Missouri until she was 16 when her family moved to Seminole.

She was a high school graduate and also received her Associate’s Degree.

She married Robert (Bob) Herron on July 4, 1992, in Seminole.

Lona worked as a nurse’s aide and caregiver in the home health field.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren, sitting in the woods with her husband and molding her daughter into the person she needed to be and loving all of those close to her.

She was a wonderful mother and mema and an amazing spirit to witness. She was a great cook and spent the majority of her adult life taking care of everyone around her.

Lona is survived by her husband Bob, who cherished Crickett, of the home, her daughter; Crystaline Elliott and husband Robby of Holdenville, Oklahoma, her grandchildren; Trinity Miller of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Akira Elliott, Harley Elliott and Carter Elliott, all of Holdenville, her brother LV and sisters; Sheila and JoElla.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister and her best friend Chris.

There are no services planned for Lona.

Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
