Lloyd Lindell Fisher, age 90 and a long-time resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, June 24, 2021 at his home.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa, where he will receive military honors. Rev. Ed Bray will officiate, and burial will follow at Konawa Cemetery. The family asks that all who attend wear masks.

Lloyd was born December 8, 1930 at his grandparents, Franklin and Belva Griffen’s home in Hazel, Oklahoma to Ovie Lee Fisher and Lillie Belle (Griffin) Fisher. Lloyd attended first grade through the eighth grade at Hazel, Oklahoma, and he graduated from Konawa High School.

He joined the US Air Force and served for four years from 1951 through 1955 as Private First Class. He married Geneva Berry December 1, 1968 at the Ideal Baptist Church in Seminole, Oklahoma. He earned a Bachelor of Education from East Central University in Ada with his brother and sister in the same ceremony. Lloyd spent the nearly fifty years as an oilfield pumper and a farmer.

He is survived by one stepson, Randell Nunley of Enid, Oklahoma; one brother, Burnus L. Fisher of Konawa; and one sister, Martha Smith of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
