Wood

Seminole resident Lisa Gay Wood, 59, died Sunday, March 26, 2023, in Oklahoma City.

Lisa, the daughter of Jacky and Katharina “Kitty” (Dreschler) Knight, was born February 20, 1964, in Cordell. Raised in a Air Force family, Lisa lived in several places and traveled to many more as a child. Ultimately, she landed permanently in Seminole, where she met Timothy Wood. On October 29, 1983, she and Timothy were married. Lisa spent the rest of her life and she and Timothy raised their two daughters, Brandi and Calli in Seminole. When the girls were little, Lisa found one of her favorite passions, coaching the girls in softball. Lisa also enjoyed reading, online shopping, studying the Bible, and loving her animals. Lisa had a great relationship with her brother, Mickey Knight, and had a great time harassing and spending time with him, but nothing compared to spending time with her grandbabies.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kitty and Jacky Knight; and by a brother, Steven Knight.

Lisa is survived by her husband, Timothy; daughters and sons-in-law, Brandi and Scott Dice of Seminole, and Calli and Matt Harding of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren, Bayah and Forrest Harding and Aria Dice; a brother, Mickey Knight; and many other family and friends.

A memorial service will be Friday, March 31, at 10:00 A.M. at Swearingen Funeral Chapel in Seminole, with Carl Whitfield officiating. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
