Linda Jean Chaffin, 71, of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away peacefully while at home, surrounded by a loving family on June 21, 2020.

Linda was born November 23, 1948 to Dexter Orvile and Melda Eva (Brown) Chaffin in Seminole, Oklahoma.

She graduated from Maud High School.

Linda worked in the medical field all her life, and was a woman of faith who lived her life serving others.

Linda’s children and grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. Her legacy of a kind spirit will live on through them.

She enjoyed bird watching, riding on the backroads, doing her yardwork, and mowing on her John Deere.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, husband, Fred Leory Abbott, and a granddaughter, Tiffany Zanea Barton.

She is survived by her husband Ly-Van-Duc of the home, sister Jenette and husband James Moon of Konawa, son Jeffery Wayne Abbott and Christina Pangle of Wewoka, Oklahoma, daughters Cynthia Lyan Boyer & Jerry Newcomb of Konawa and Mylinda Elizabeth and husband Lance Bowen of Ada, Oklahoma, daughterin-law Shaena Abbott of Ada, grandchildren Riley Vivier, Dakota Abbott, Layna Taylor, Koby Bowen, and Katelynn Bowen, and great-grandchildren Tayla, Carter, Kendelynn, Briley, Riley II, Caden, and Rhett.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 25, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Vamoosa Cemetery, with Rev. Ed George officiating. Pallbearers will be Dakota Abbott, Lance Bowen, Jerry Newcomb, Ted Huggins, Garrett Taylor, James Moon, and Will Abbott.

Services are under the direction of Estes-Phillips Funeral Home in Ada.
