Lillian May (Reynolds) Reeves, age 90 and a longtime resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away from this life December 3, 2021 at Seminole Care and Rehab Center in Seminole, Oklahoma under Kindful Hospice care.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa, and burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery. Rev. Chris Steele will officiate, and casket bearers are Micah Ingram, Daniel Ingram, Jeremiah Reeves, Thad Gorczyca, Nathaniel Ingram, and Branden Myers. Honorary bearers are Barry Streetman, Aaron Ingram, II, Wayne Smith, Carl Capps, Jacob Ingram, Tim Carpitche, Mark Stoup, Gary Payne, Brandon Stoup, and Alan Akerman. Visitation will begin 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 6th at the funeral home. The family will receive guests Tuesday night from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00p.m.

Lillian was born November 5, 1931 in Rochester, Pennsylvania to William Isreal Reynolds and Mabel Gertrude (Watkins) Reynolds. She grew up in Ohio and Pennsylvania until the age of twelve when they moved to California. She moved in 1973 to Oklahoma. She graduated from Oakdale High School in California, and at the age of eighteen, she married the love of her life, Ben Farland Reeves on April 7, 1950 in Riverbank, California. She was a member of The First Baptist Church of Konawa, and she was a cook for the Konawa school system for over thirty years. She received Jesus around the age of fifteen and was a devout Baptist until her death. She had a voice of an angel, and sang at numerous weddings and funerals for the town of Riverbank, California. She and Ben raised five of the most fortunate children to have her as their mother. She gardened, canned food, and sewed the family’s clothes. She taught her kids to sing, and most of all, taught her family about Jesus.

She is survived by one son, Mark Reeves of Konawa; three daughters, Marjorie Ingram and husband, Ollie of Konawa, Carol Steele and husband, Mike of Jones, Oklahoma, and Kathy Garcia and husband, John of Merced, California; two sisters, Shirley of California, and Mary Everett of Riverbank, California; 15 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mabel Reynolds; husband, Ben Reeves; one son, Lon Allen Reeves; one grandson, Aaron Ingram; three brothers, Bill, Bobby, and Kenny Reynolds; and one sister, Geraldine Reynolds.
