Lena Gail (Thompson) Hearrell, 42, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, June 1, 2019. She was surrounded by loved ones in her home in Harrison, Tennessee.

Lena was born in Garland, TX on December 29, 1976. The oldest of two daughters born to Robert Murphy and Anna Marie (Willoughby) Thompson. She graduated from Varnum High School in 1995 and from Seminole State and Wes Watkins with an Associate in Surgical Technology in 2005. She married the love of her life, Jim Earl Hearrell, on January 16, 1999; they enjoyed 20 years together and their four beautiful children.

Lena worked at Dean McGee Eye Institute as a surgical technician and Wes Watkins Technology Center as a Surgical Technician Instructor before moving to Chattanooga, TN. Once in Tennessee she was an instructor at Miller-Motte Technology Center for four years. She had just gone back into the field in Labor and Delivery at Erlanger East doing what she loved the most. As an instructor and in the field, Lena was able to touch the lives of many students and patients with her contagious smile and loving heart.

Those that knew Lena will remember the love she had for her children, family, and friends. She also loved playing games with her family, cooking, telling stories, cup of coffee in hand, and enjoying the outdoors.

Lena was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents; Floyd and Lillie (McDonald) Willoughby, mother-in-law Helen Hearrell, sister-in-law Regina Simpson.

She is survived by her husband, parents, daughters Kaitlyn Hearrell, Emily Hearrell, and Taylor Hearrell and son Tyler Hearrell all of the home; father-in-law, Michael Hearrell SR of Truth or Consequences, NM, sister and brother-in-law Katie Rattan and husband Neil of Seminole, Oklahoma; brother-in-law Michael Hearrell II and wife Lisa of Ooltewah, TN; sister-in-law Sonya Piatt and husband Brian of Edgewood, NM; niece and nephews; Cami, Warren and Ryker Rattan of Seminole, OK; and a host of other family and friends.
