Leafus Island

Leafus Lee Island, Wewoka resident, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021, in Wewoka, Oklahoma. He was born on October 21, 1938 in Jones, Oklahoma to Joe and Annie (Shelton) Island.
Leafus is survived by his daughter, Tarsha Jackson; brother, Oscar Island, Sr. and spouse, Bobbie and Rosie Mae Woodfork; five grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
Leafus was preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Leah Moseby and Avis Edwards and son Lorne Island.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 12:00 p.m., at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, OK with Rev. Clive Cochran officiating. Burial will follow at Lima Cemetery in Lima, OK. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
