Lawrence Oswald Davis, age 95, departed this life July 22, 2020 at the Veterans Center, Clinton, OK.

He was born May 23, 1925 in Kansas City, MO to the late Tucker Davis and Minnie Arnold Davis.

He was a graduate of Wewoka High School.

Lawrence worked as an mechanic for GEO Source in the Oil Fields.

Lawrence could fix anything. His hobbies were, King Salmon fishing in Alaska with his brother, watching OU sports, camping and going to Colorado.

Lawrence served in the US Army during WWII as a Tail gunner on a B17 and was shot down in Fladungen, Germany and held as a POW.

Preceding Lawrence in death are his parents, first wife Betty Yates Davis, second wife Dorothy Richardson Davis, son Larry Davis, granddaughter Amy Loeffelholz, brothers Paul Davis, Roy Davis, R.T. Davis and sister, Margaret Davis.

Survivors include son, Robert Davis and wife Brenda of Pampa, TX, daughter, Donna Loeffelholz of Azle, TX, daughter -in-law Martha Davis (Larry) , OKC; granddaughter’s, Tracy Davis, Amber Loeffelholz, Melanie Withrow, great-daughter’s, Erika Clayton, Tierney Withrow, Audrey Loeffelholz, Peyton Pauley and Hope Housley; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pall bearers will be grandsons Erik Loeffelholz, Trent Davis, Blaze Loeffelholz, Shaun Davis, Michael Davis and Chris Withrow.

Honorary pall bearers will be great-grandsons, Pierce Loeffelholz, Jared Davis, Conner Davis, Kirk Withrow, Logan Loeffelholz, Dominick Davis, Tyrell Clayton, Jackson Davis, Carter Loeffelholz, Preston Loeffelholz and Ian Loeffelholz.

Funeral service will be 10:30 AM Monday, July 27, 2020 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel and burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
