Lily Ladean Morgan was born December 26, 1936 in Bearden, Oklahoma to Dallas and Anna?Parker.

Ladean graduated from Butner High School and was her class salutatorian. She attended East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma.

Ladean married the love of her life, Robert Martin Morgan on April 21, 1957 in Wewoka, Oklahoma. She was an employee for Security State Bank for a few years before starting a family and raising her two children. She was a wonderfully dedicated and proud wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt. She was a loving and devoted homemaker who absolutely cherished and adored her family. She was a faithful member of the Wewoka Church of Christ and dearly loved the church. Ladean loved anything and everything she did with her family, was a world-class cook, enjoyed traveling and spending time with her friends, and cheering on her beloved OU Sooners.?

Ladean went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 21, 2021 at Oklahoma City at the age of 84 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dallas and Ann Parker; her husband, Major General Robert M. Morgan; one daughter, Carol Denise Byrd; and sister Patricia Elaine Chaffin.

Ladean leaves to cherish her memory a loving son Mike Morgan and Cindy Hershberger of Wichita, Kansas; four grandchildren, Ashlee Byrd of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Emily Baker and her husband Justin of Earlsboro, Oklahoma, John Robert Morgan of Wichita, Kansas, and Kristin Morgan of Oklahoma City; two great grandchildren, Benjamin Michael Morgan and Lane Baker; a son-in-law Tom Byrd of Earlsboro, Oklahoma; a brother, Dwight Parker of Grandfield, Oklahoma; and a host of family and friends.

The memorial service for Ladean will be Monday, August 2nd at 1 p.m. at the Church of Christ in Wewoka, Oklahoma with burial at the Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka. Officiating will be Ladean’s brother, Dwight Parker.

Arrangements are with the Stout Philips Funeral Home.
