Kylee Dawn Edge, 38, of Woodstock, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023, with her family by her side. She courageously battled breast cancer for eight years and fought valiantly until the very end.

Kylee was born on April 17, 1985, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to Jay and Dawn Sullivan. At age five, she was thrilled to become a big sister to her little brother, Chase.

Kylee met her husband, Richard Edge, in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2014. They married on September 4, 2016, in Miramar Beach, Florida, surrounded by family members and friends. It was a joyous occasion for all.

Kylee spent the first twelve years of her life in Oklahoma. During that time, she attended Grove Elementary School in Shawnee and Union Public Schools in Tulsa. She took dance lessons for many years and loved being a member of the dance team at Union. When Kylee was in 7th grade, she moved with her family to Marietta, Georgia, where she was a 2003 graduate of Lassiter High School.

Kylee went on to attend the University of Oklahoma where she earned Bachelor of Business Administration degrees in both Accounting and Finance. Subsequently, Kylee moved back to Georgia, where she pursued a career in the accounting field, and became a Certified Public Accountant. At the time of her passing, she was employed as Assistant Controller and Senior Director of Accounting with Floor & Decor, where she was loved and respected by her colleagues.

Kylee will be greatly missed and forever loved. She was a shining light to everyone fortunate enough to know her. She had the kindest heart and most beautiful smile. Those who knew her well were blessed by her generosity and her unique sense of humor. She could unexpectedly deliver a straightfaced line that would have everyone in stitches. She was a devoted animal lover who fostered and rescued many dogs. Her beloved dogs, Mookie, Bodhi, and Disco brought her great joy. Kylee enjoyed live music, seasonal home decorating, fashion, beach trips, playing games, crafting projects, and OU football. She also enjoyed watching true crime and mystery shows with her mom.

Kylee is survived by her husband, Richard Edge of Woodstock, GA; her mother and father, Dawn and Jay Sullivan of Marietta, GA; her brother, Chase Sullivan of Woodstock, GA; her grandmothers, Edna Sullivan of Seminole, OK, and Betty Burgess of Midwest City, OK.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Al and Mickey Burgess, and her paternal grandfather, Jack Sullivan.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023 in the chapel of Marietta Funeral Home. The family will receive friends and visitors for one hour prior to the service.
