Julia Rose Jager, Seminole resident, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023 surrounded by family, at her home, at the age of 12. Julia was born on May 13, 2011 in Norman, OK to Nathan Strasbaugh and Leasha Mashell (Frapp) Jager. She was born in Norman, OK where she spent the first 4 years of her life and then lived in Seminole, OK where she grew up with a wonderful community and an abundance of support.

Julia, before cancer, loved to be outdoors camping, fishing and playing outside. After cancer she learned how to live and do the same through her favorite game Minecraft, where she built whole worlds. She also always loved to read and pass that on to anyone that would listen. She was a member of Seminole First Baptist Church. She attended Seminole Schools. Julia was a part of Make A Wish as well.

Julia is survived by her parents, Michael and Leasha Jager; biological father Nathan Strasbaugh and wife, Roblee of Norman; grandparents, Holly Marciano of Seminole, Scott and Cindy Yager of Midwest City, Rick and Debra Strasbaugh of Norman, Chris Cardinal of Noble, Victor Frapp of Little Axe and Robert Rogers Sr. of Little Axe; three brothers, Phillip Henry of Seminole, Dakota Jager of Seminole and Jace Strasbaugh of Norman; two sisters, Kayla Henry of Seminole and Savanah Jager of Seminole; more aunts, uncles and cousins than one can county whom were all loved very much as well as many other family and friends.

Julia was preceded in death by grandmother, Donna Cardinal; aunt, Ashlea Jager; great grandma, Heilda Fueborn and great grandma, Delana Rogers.

Those serving as casket bearers will be Michael Jager, Phillip Henry, Nathan Strasbaugh, Austin Gates, Matthew Jager and Derek Jager. Honorary casket bearer will be Dakota Jager.

Viewing will be from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Seminole First Baptist Church. Cremation will follow.

Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
