Juanita Mae (Evans) Jones age 92, departed this life on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 in Holdenville, Ok. She was born in Stidham, Oklahoma August 11, 1927 to the late James Franklin Jones and Pearl Colton Jones. She was a graduate of Wewoka high school and received a bachelor degree from East Central University. Juanita married Howard Evans in 1945 in Wewoka, OK. She was a member of Church of Christ Wewoka and worked at Holdenville General Hospital as a Register Nurse.
Preceding Juanita in death are her parents, husband, siblings: Avis Jones, Harry " Bud" Jones, James Jones, Melba Brumley and June Metts.
Survivors include four children James Evans and Cheryl of CA, Howard Evans Jr. of Wewoka, Ok, Nanette Neese of Wewoka, OK and John Evans of Wewoka, OK, eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren, and brother, Robert Jones and wife, Judy of Denton, TX and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside service will at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Jones Family Cemetery west of Wewoka, Oklahoma.
Services will be under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home
