Joyce Williams Harbeston was born on January 5, 1936 and passed to her heavenly home on September 9, 2023. She was greeted by her husband Kenneth, her father Buel Williams, her mom and stepdad Violet and Haskell Rogers, brother Jim Williams and sisters Sondra McKee and Keitha Watts.

Joyce was a resident of the Seminole area most of her life. She graduated from Seminole High School, Seminole Junior College and East Central University. She married Kenneth in 1954, and they were blessed with two daughters and their husbands, Tamra and Mitchell Hennen and Amy and Kenneth Fent, who survive her.

The greatest joy and blessings of her life were her four grandchildren and spouses, Andrew and Heather Hennen, Mark and Erica Hennen, Angel and Joseph Skyles and Caleb and Raeshel Fent. Also surviving her are twelve great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.

Joyce enjoyed her short teaching career, making lasting friendships. She and Kenneth were always active in church, and cherished many relationships made in the local church setting as well as traveling on many mission trips around the world. They were also active in the local community and involved in several businesses over the years.

After her husband’s passing in 2019, Joyce’s health declined and she longed for her heavenly home. Mom is at peace and rejoicing with her loved ones. The family would like to thank all the staff of Colonial Park Manor in Okemah, as well as Traditions Hospice and her nurses Beth and Evelyn for such loving care the past few months.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma. Following the service, family will greet friends and family. Following that time, burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole with a private family service. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
