Josie Ed Johnson, Sr., 61, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021.

He was born October 4, 1959 to Eugene and Myrtle (Fixico) Johnson in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Josie was raised in the Shawnee and Dale areas.

He graduated from Dale High School.

He was married to Beverly Hill.

Josie worked with several companies including Chris Gokool as a tree trimmer.

He was a proud member of the Absentee Shawnee Tribe.

Josie enjoyed softball, baseball and sports in general. He enjoyed life to the fullest.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Brent Johnson; granddaughter, Sky Mone’l Johnson; and brother, Walter Johnson.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Hill; daughters, Rebecca Duboise, Autumn Ponce, Eugenia Givens and Katie Johnson; sons, Darrell Johnson and Josie Ed Johnson, Jr.; 24 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 7 brothers, Ronnie Johnson, Bruce Johnson, Steve Johnson, Graylon Johnson, Curtis Johnson, George Johnson and Leam Johnson; sister, Emma Johnson Lock; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Cooper Funeral Home for extended family and friends.

Services are private and for immediate family only, Monday, January 18, 2021 at Snake Creek #2 Baptist Church with Steve Holata officiating.

Burial will follow at Snake Creek #2 Cemetery in Seminole, OK under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

Family has respectfully ask that anyone attending please wear a face mask.
