Jimmy Watters

Watters Jimmy Edward Watters age 81, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at his home in Sasakwa, Oklahoma. He was born February 10, 1944 in Sasakwa, Oklahoma to Alvie Watters and Mary Lou (Tarpley) Watters. He married Mary Pauletta Bryant in Wewoka, Oklahoma in 1962.

He graduated from Wewoka High School. Jimmy served in the army national guard. He worked as a driller, toolpusher, roustabout in the oilfield for many years. He enjoyed working, farming and ranching.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Carl Watters; siblings, Mary Frances Lyon, Rena Ruth Orsburn, Alvie Watters, and Derrell Watters.

Jimmy is survived by his wife Mary Watters of the home; children, Chris Watters and wife Sheri of Irving, TX, Terrell Watters and Kim Ward of Union Valley, OK; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and 1 on the way; siblings Charles R. Watters and wife Barbara of Virginia, Ricky Watters and wife Margaret of Florida.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 22, 2025 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel in Wewoka, OK with Pastor Dan Factor officiating. Interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, OK.

Pallbearers: Ty Watters, Travis Watters, Austin Watters, Joe Ray, Waylon Lasley, Toad Watters.

Honorary pallbearers: Tom Legerwood, Robie Watters, Donald Bryant, James Orsburn, Kevin Orsburn, Mark Haggard, and Stan Templeman.
