Jim Bob Sandfur, age 40 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away at his home Thursday, June 3, 2021.

A Wake service is scheduled for Tuesday, June 8th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 9 th at the funeral home, and burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery. Rev. Kellos Walker will officiate. Casket bearers are Guy Buck, Brent Harjo, Brandon G. Harjo, Brian Anderson, Tanner Wood, and Corky Snodgrass. Honorary bearers are Marcus Sandfur, Devin Sandfur, Nicholas Sandfur, Keith Harjo, Damond Harjo, Jordan Fixico, and Randall Harjo.

Jim Bob was born January 4, 1981 in Ada, Oklahoma to Jimmy Eugene Sandfur and Elaine Kim Harjo. He was a member of the Spring Baptist Church in Sasakwa, Oklahoma. He worked as a handyman, and he loved to skateboard. He also loved “the oldies” music.

He is survived by his mother, Elaine Kim Harjo of Konawa; three sons, Marcus Sandfur of Konawa, Devin Sandfur of Ada, and Nick Sandfur of Oklahoma City; four brothers, Bo Harjo and Ateesha Harjo of Seminole, Oklahoma, Brandon G. Harjo and Cara Fowler of Henryetta, Oklahoma, Brent Bon Harjo and Katlin Peterson of Ada, and Guy Buck of Wewoka, Oklahoma; two sisters, Debbie Coker of Wewoka, Oklahoma, and Nakitta Harjo and Brian Anderson of Konawa; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Eugene Sandfur, and step-father, Gerald Harjo.
