Jerry Dale Streater, 8 5 , Sapulpa, Oklahoma resident, passed away in Tulsa, Oklahoma on, Wednesday, August 18, 2021.

Jerry was born January 2, 1936 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Thomas Albert Streater and Rachel Clare (Coley) Streater. Jerry spent most of his life in the Wewoka, Oklahoma area.

Jerry served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Jerry served for 21 years in the Marine Corp and served in Vietnam and attained the rank of Gunnery Sergeant, he received the Combat Action Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Navy Unit Commendation, National Service Medal and the Meritorious Unit Citation.

Jerry enjoyed landscaping, woodworking, painting and camping.

He married Norma Sue Nutter on July 10, 1960 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and they spent 61 wonderful years together.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife Norma Sue Streater of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, three sons; Chad Streater and his wife Julie of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Shawn Streater and his wife Christy of Kellyville, Oklahoma and Clay Streater and his wife Kim of Jenks, Oklahoma, one brother Larry Streater of Wewoka, Oklahoma and Saundra Anderson of Wewoka, Oklahoma, nine grandchildren; Coley, Keysha, Alexanne, Tyler, Peyton, Bahler, Cale and Kali Jo and four great grandchildren; Grady, Graham, Gunner and Gentry.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, and on son Jerry Dirk Streater.

Graveside services with U.S. Marine Corp honors will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 20, 2021 at the Little Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
