Janey Vaughn

Vaughn Janey Lou Vaughn, Seminole resident, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025 at her home at the age of 79.

Janey is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Shauna Vaughn of Seminole; brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Anita Lemmings of Seminole; three sisters and brothers- in-law, Roxie Posey of Shawnee, Lisa and Fred Schroeder of Corpus Christi, TX and Patsy and Michael Patten of Southhaven, MS; three grandchildren, one great grandchild, and many other family and friends.

Janey was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Pearl Lemmings; husband, Gerald Vaughn and brother, David Lemmings.

Janey’s family will greet friends and family on Monday, September 8, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.

Viewing will be from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 8, 2025 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with Pastor Jason Chambers officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
