James “Jim” Charles White, Seminole resident, passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021, in Seminole, Oklahoma. Jim was born on February 26, 1942, in Seminole, OK, to Glen and Virgie “Kate” Eula (Petross) White. He graduated from East Central University with a Bachelor’s Degree in English in 1965. Jim dedicated himself to protecting and serving others during his career with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol from 1967 to 1997. He also served his country for 25 years in the National Guard and was a veteran of the Gulf War in Operation Desert Storm.

Jim is survived by his wife, Vicky Kay White, of the home; two sons, Brent White of Seminole, OK and Brian White and wife, Johnna of Seminole; four grandchildren, Kelbie Lynn , Madison Cartwright Taylor White and Baylen White; two great grandchildren, Zaiden Zeller and Henlee Janes and many other family and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Glenda Sue Massay.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 1:00 p.m., at Immanuel Fellowship Church in Seminole, OK, with Pastor Tim Tate officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Varnum Public Schools for scholarships at 11929 NS 3550, Seminole, OK 74868. Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
