James Harber

James Phillip Harber, 69, of Dover, Ohio, passed away at Akron General Hospital on January 17, 2022. He was born on June 10, 1952, in Seminole, Oklahoma, and was the youngest child of May and Frank H. Harber.

He graduated from Seminole High School and attended Oklahoma State University. He married Julie Ann (Beauchamp) Harber on January 23, 1988. He was an active member of Burning River Church in Dover.

Jim was known as a loving husband who enjoyed caring for people and providing shelter for those in need. A gifted speaker, he had a strong prophetic gift, and he was instrumental in assisting to restore individuals who needed help with alcohol and drug recovery. He enjoyed being outdoors and loved the mountains and the beach areas where he and Julie visited.

In addition to his parents, May and Frank H. Harber, he is predeceased by his brothers Frank H. Harber, Jr. and Mark R. Harber, and one sister, Janie M. Harber. He is survived by his wife, Julie Ann Harber; son, Arragon Harber; grandchildren, Jasper Harber and Killie Harber; sister, Donna Harber Stokes.

Memorial services celebrating Jim’s life will be held on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Burning River Church in Dover, Ohio.
